This guided tour grants exclusive access to private land on family-owned Glentanner Station, one of the region's most historic and iconic stations in some of the country's most magnificent settings.

Experience a journey back through time to the rough and rugged early days of high-country farming and to the ancient past when glaciers carved the land to form the spectacular Mackenzie Country.

The tour starts with an exciting helicopter ride to a high point at Glentanner Station. You can enjoy stunning views of Lake Pukaki, the Tasman River Valley, and Aoraki / Mount Cook in the distance. The tour then continues with an easy walk along a scenic farm track, descending gradually past alpine tarns and under towering peaks. There will be opportunities to take incredible photos and a break at a historic private hut, where refreshments will be provided. Your knowledgeable guide will share stories about the station's history, geological features, flora and fauna, and current operations.
